The film's four-day collections now stand at Rs 2.6 crores, over the Rs 2.15 crores. In an interview with IANS, tripti dimri revealed that she never auditioned for her role in the film. The casting director of the film saw her as a Kashmiri character , and he suggested that he be examined for work. This movie was released by imtiaz ali on 16 september 2017.

Leela majnu is set in present day Kashmir, where Leela (played by Tripti Dimri) and Qais (played by avinash Tiwari) are madly in love but cannot live together due to family problems. Apart from Tripti and Avinash, the film also stars Abrar Ghazi, sumit Kaul, Sahib Bali, Mir Sarwar, Farhana Bhatt and others. Although the film did not receive good reviews from the critics, the music was very good.

Ayushmann Khurrana has reportedly walked out of the role of Sunny Deol's 1997 film Marz. If a recent report is to be believed, Ayushmann has been in talks with the makers of Border 2 for a long time. He has reportedly been offered the role of a young army man in this film. However, she left the project as she was not sure about joining Sunny Deol's team.

Ayushmann talked about playing a soldier in the second episode. Although Ayushmann and the producers wanted to work together, the actor was not sure of his place in the team led by star Sunny. However, there is no official confirmation about this till now.
