Reactions to the teaser for Suriya's much awaited movie Kanguva have been varied. The Siva-directed trailer is visually striking, but it doesn't give audiences any idea about how entertaining the movie will be altogether. Some tamil fans are making excessive hype out of the trailer, even going so far as to say that Siva is a master at producing visually stunning films, and even SS Rajamouli, the man behind films like Baahubali and RRR, might take a cue from him.

Online comments in reaction to this too exuberant appreciation have been amusing. Many people are pointing out how inflated these comparisons are, and their remarks range from shock to laughter. director Siva may even ban users that make these kinds of comparisons, a user pointed out. Others have noted that consumers may decide not to see the movie as a result of this kind of promotion.

Some contend that, despite Kanguva's striking images, it would be unfair to compare Siva to Rajamouli, who is regarded as a master of both storyline and imagery. Forget Rajamouli, another telugu user proposed that our Prasanth varma would be a better fit for Siva's style.

The Suriya and bobby Deol-starring trailer seems to blend a number of myths and stories without giving any clear indication of what the story is about. Even after recently bulking up for his role in Animal, bobby deol still appears to be suffering from a hangover. His dubbing was poor, and he appeared awkward. The trailer's badly done dubbing and overbearing background music further diminish its impact, giving the presentation a disjointed appearance. When Kanguva opens in cinemas on october 10, 2024, there is hope that its large budget will allow it to tell a captivating tale and make the audience's investment worthwhile in spite of these problems.
