Why did shahrukh khan take a break from acting?

Bollywood's romance king shahrukh khan has given many hit and iconic films. However, there came a time in his career when his film flopped badly. His 2018 film zero flopped. The film had stars like anushka sharma and katrina Kaif. The film was released on a big level, but the film did not work. After this, shahrukh khan took a break for some time. However, he did a cameo role instead of playing the leading role.

Did not take a break due to the film's failure
Now while talking to Variety, Shahrukh told that he did not take a break because of films. Talking about his way of working, he said that the day he does not feel like getting up in the morning, he does not work. Shahrukh said - Honestly, it was not because of the failure of the films.

Shahrukh also said that one day he woke up and called the producers of his film and told them that he would not work for a year. This was very unprofessional. Because he was doing the film in january and he called in December.
Shahrukh said that the producer did not believe it because he never sat without work for a whole year. The producer told him that if he does not like the film, he can easily refuse it. Do not say that you are taking a break. Then after one and a half years, the film producers called Shahrukh and said that they are surprised that you (Shahrukh) are not actually working. Shahrukh said- I just did not want to work. I just did not want to act. Acting is very organic for me. That is why I took a break.
