She has two children, a daughter Palak Tiwari, and a son. 

Shweta Tiwari talked about daughter Palak's acting

In an interview with 'News18 Shosha', Shweta Tiwari spoke openly about her daughter Palak's acting career and said that Palak got her first film on her own. However, she always depends on her mother in terms of work. 

Calling herself a critic of her daughter's work, Shweta said, “When Palak gets a script before an audition, she comes to me asking for tips on how to speak the lines. She makes her own decisions, but my opinion also matters a lot to her. Sometimes, she makes five tapes and asks me to choose one, so that she can send it forward and I help her. She knows that if she shows me something, I will find faults in it and the day I don't tell her anything, she gets very happy.”

Shweta called Palak a spendthrift

Shweta also spoke about her daughter Palak's spending habits. Shweta said, "She gifts me a lot of branded stuff on my birthday and Mother's Day. She loves me so much! Whenever she sees me carrying a regular bag, she says, 'Oh my God, what bag is this?' And then the very next day, she brings me a branded tote bag. Thanks to my daughter, I don't remember a single day when parcels haven't arrived at our house. I have given her my credit cards with hotels and airlines. I tell her you have to spend this much and she spends it very easily, but I have never been a spendthrift." 

The actress further revealed that Palak shops from london because she is a spendthrift. In contrast, Shweta has only invested her money. In her words, "When I used to shoot round the clock, I didn't get a chance to spend my earnings but my daughter loves spending money on luxury. She loves having branded bags and clothes. She doesn't like shopping in mall showrooms. She shops in London. I have only invested my money in property, fixed deposits, and other investments. I have only invested my whole life."
