Prabhas - Hanu movie - Another 1000 Crores Possible?

Prabhas started work on a new project today, launching a movie alongside Hanu Raghavapudi. The project officially began with a grandiose launch party for the movie. First off, Hanu Raghavapudi is making his first big-screen debut, so the stakes are really high for him this time around.

Despite criticism that he overbudgets his movies, he won't face any problems in this regard because prabhas is the movie's main star. But the excellent filmmaker's success this time will depend on how well he handles the larger-than-life aura of prabhas and how big of a filmmaker he is. Like he did with seetha Ramam, he will also need to fully let go of the "second half syndrome" this time.

This raises the age-old question: Is this project truly a candidate for Rs 1000 crore? Based on the excitement on social media, it appears that this is a wartime love story. In such instance, it may resemble seetha Ramam but on a much larger scale. Using seetha Ramam as a benchmark, this movie didn't do as well as it should have because it only made under 10 crore nett in the hindi belt. The numbers will be higher with prabhas, but effective marketing collateral is still required.

As was evident with Radhe Shyam, the love genre had failed in hindi, even for Prabhas. For the movie to go well in the crucial hindi belt, Hanu would thus need to produce something far more than a love story. As of right now, it is premature to discuss the 1000 crore potential of the Prabhas-Hanu movie. Instead, we must wait till the promotional material begins to surface before making any further judgments.
