The rumor mill began spinning when Aamir Khan's production company responded to a salman khan tweet from 2010 on X (Twitter). "I didn't let Aamir touch me after the film. Agar mujhe gold mein badal deta toh???," Salman said in the original 2010 post, making a playful allusion to the 2010 film ‘Peepli Live’, which was produced by aamir khan and kiran Rao. Salman made this comment regarding Peepli Live, which he praised the most upon its premiere and bestowed the title of "Mr. Midas touch" onto Aamir.

Reacting to Salman's tweet, aamir khan Productions said, "We think about this a lot." 

Their followers were taken aback by the unexpected response from Aamir's team about Salman's old tweet. A lot of people on the internet are hoping that they will work together on ‘Andaz Apna Apna 2’.
