Maidaan Makers Break Silence On Syed Abdul Rahim Family Allegations: bollywood superstar ajay Devgan played the role of football coach Syed Abdul Rahim in the film 'Maidaan' released this year. Now media reports are claiming that the makers of Maidaan have not paid royalties to Syed Abdul Rahim's family as they had promised.

It is being told that Syed's family recently met the telangana government regarding this matter and narrated their ordeal. It was said that a case could be filed against ajay Devgan and the makers for 'fraud'. However, now Maidan producer Boney Kapoor's Bayview Projects LLP has issued an official statement in this matter and rejected such claims.

The allegation is completely false

Boney Kapoor's Bayview Projects has said that all such allegations are completely false. According to Bayview Projects, 'The producers were not bound to obtain any permission/consent under the law, but Rahim's heirs, in good faith, amicably settled the matter with the heirs on the terms and conditions recorded in the consent terms dated 29 january 2020. Bayview Projects LLP is adhering to the consent terms and all the legal heirs have confirmed Bayview's compliance with the consent terms and have expressed their full support and appreciation of the film. Apart from this, the producers have also acquired the life rights of Squadron.

Leader. Syed shahid Hakim (now deceased) and as per the instructions given by Hakim to his wife Sadia Syeda and his family members namely Mohammad Abdul Samad and Mohammad Shariq Daniyal Akhtar, they have considered this during their lifetime. In such a situation, it is shocking to read reports regarding non-payment of royalties to the heirs of the late Rahim, more so when there is no obligation to pay. This allegation is completely false.

It further stated that Bayview Projects LLP has not received any notice from the police or any state authority. If any claim/notice is received from the police or state authority, Bayview will take necessary action under the law to protect its rights. As it will be legally advised. The press and the public are appealed to exercise due caution and responsibility while reporting such misinformation. The articles reported have caused serious injury and prejudice to the reputation of Bayview, the film, and all stakeholders associated with the film. If such reporting continues, the producers will be forced to initiate appropriate action including defamation proceedings against the offenders.

What did the Bayview Projects lawyer say

On this matter, amit Naik, the lawyer of Bayview Projects, has said that 'Bayview complies with the consent terms dated 29 january 2020 filed before the Hon'ble Civil Court, hyderabad and Secunderabad. There are no dues to any legal heir of Syed Abdul Rahim. No notice has been received by the police/state authority. If any claim or notice is received, the production house will take all steps to deal with it by the law to protect and safeguard its rights and reputation.'
