Drishyam is a malayalam hit film directed by Jeethu Joseph.
The thriller genre featured mohanlal and meena in the lead roles. Made on a low budget, the film grossed several crores in Malayalam. The film was later remade in tamil, telugu and Hindi. kamal haasan played the role of mohanlal in tamil and ajay Devgan in Hindi.

The film was directed by jeethu joseph in both languages. The second part made after the success of the film was also well received. At this juncture, jeethu joseph has given an update about the third part of the film. In a recent interview, he said, "After completing the first part of Drishyam, I have no intention of making a second part.

But suddenly an idea came to us and we finished the second part with it. Subsequently, I have created the climax of the third part. You just have to create an in-between story. When I told mohanlal about it, he liked it too.

That may still take time.  Five years after the release of the first part, we made the second part. The third part will take some time to develop." He said.
