Describing himself as an 'OG' fan of amitabh bachchan, abhishek banerjee said that his teachers used to compare him to the legendary actor because of his body language. The actor said, "My walk was like that. My teachers used to say, 'Bhai, what are you doing, roaming around like Deewar ka Amitabh.'
Signed 'Section 84' as soon as he heard Big B's name
In an interview to PTI, abhishek banerjee revealed that when amitabh bachchan first came to the sets of Section 84, he recorded Big's entry. He said, "That walk took me back to the old days of all those films... dialogues and action scenes flashed before my eyes. He is an institution. Everyone wants to work with him." abhishek Banerjee's love for amitabh bachchan was such that he did not waste even a minute to sign Ribhu Dasgupta's Section 84. Recalling the call when the film was offered to him, abhishek said, "He called me and said, 'This film is with Mr Bachchan' and I said, 'Yes'. I didn't listen to the next two lines. He was like, 'Arre, first listen what kind of film it is...' I said, 'No need'. Ribhu Dasgupta has imagined me in a character that is almost like Bachchan in front of Mr Bachchan. It was a big deal for me."
