In a latest interview to Times of India, dia mirza revealed that she had to suffer a lot after the film 'Rehna Hai Tere dil Mein' flopped. Dia said, "We were all devastated! I remember I was removed from many projects."
However, the film gained immense popularity after it was aired on television and after many years, it gained cult status due to its buzz on social media. On this, the actress said, "The film has gained a cult status because of the love the audience is giving to the film. This helped me realise how little the box office matters for a film that really connects with people. It is a gift that keeps on giving."
How was the experience of working with R Madhavan-Saif?
Further in the interview, the 'Rehnaa Hai Tere dil Mein' actress also talked about her experience of working with R madhavan and saif ali khan in the film. Dia said, "Maddy had already done a film in the South (Tamil film Minnale). He knew his character very well. I often felt that he was a mentor on the set, guiding, advising and generally being a gentleman. Today, we share a strong bond. Saif on the other hand always made me laugh. I loved spending time with him. He made me instantly comfortable with his clarity and humor."
