The series, which portrays the tragic 1999 hijacking of an indian Airlines flight by terrorists, has been criticized for allegedly 'whitewashing' the events.

While the performances in the series have been praised, many netizens are upset over the decision to alter the names of the terrorists involved. In reality, the hijackers were reportedly Ibrahim Athar, shahid Akhtar Sayed, Sunny, Ahmad Qazi, Zahoor Mistry, and Shakir. However, in the series, the terrorists are referred to as Bhola, Shankar, Doctor, Burger, and Chief, with a suggestion that these were codenames rather than actual names.

The series boasts a notable cast, including Naseeruddin Shah, Pankaj Kapur, Vijay Varma, Dia Mirza, Arvind Swamy, and Patralekhaa. Critics have generally received the show well, with News18 Showsha awarding it a 3.5/5 rating.
