Why did father david dhawan not launch varun in Bollywood?

varun dhawan is one of the most talented actors of the young generation of Bollywood. He made his bollywood debut in the year 2012 with karan Johar's film Student of the Year. After this, varun never looked back and gave many hit films like Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania, Badlapur, Judwaa 2, Jugjug Jiyo, Bawal, Bhediya. varun dhawan is the son of famous bollywood director david dhawan but his father did not launch him. At the same time, in a latest interview, varun has revealed the reason for this.

On august 30, 2024, varun dhawan attended the launch event of his niece Anjini Dhawan's first film 'Binny and Family'. He was accompanied by many members of his family, who came to support Anjini. Meanwhile, varun told that he has no credit in Anjini's launch. varun said that he has come to support Anjini because she is like his elder brother and because Binny & Family is a good film. varun said, "She is my niece, but I am here like an elder brother... It is a good film, that's why I am here. Like my father never launched me, because that is not a tradition in my family, and he does not believe in it either. We have no hand in what she has done and it would be wrong for me to take credit for any of her success."

Anjini made her own way

varun said that Anjini has made her own way and he is very proud of her journey. Directed by Sanjay Tripathi, Binny & Family is a family drama made on three generations. Varun's niece Anjini dhawan is playing the character of Binny in it. Produced by Mahaveer Jain Films and Wave Band Productions, the film will be released in theaters on september 20.
