Following the publication of the Justice K hema Committee report, Khushbu Sundar recently emphasized the significance of providing help to victims of sexual assault in the malayalam film industry. She made a point of saying that questioning and victim-blaming hurt the victims' spirits and impeded justice. Khushbu Sundar called the establishment of the Justice K hema Committee a critical step in combating abuse and applauded it. She recognized the serious difficulties that women confront and pointed out that although males have problems too, women frequently experience greater suffering.

She talked about her own traumatic experience, revealing that her father—who ought to have been her protector—had mistreated her. "Some ask me why it took me so long to talk about my father's sexual abuse," Khushbu remarked. The guy who was meant to give me the strongest arms to support me if I fell mistreated me.

While acknowledging that she ought to have come out sooner, she insisted that her abuse did not jeopardize her career. In addition to calling for steadfast solidarity from everybody, Sundar asked males to help victims, noting out that many women endure exploitation in their pursuit of achievement and lack family support. She pledged her support to everyone who has gone through similar circumstances and urged women to speak up and maintain their dignity.
