'Pushpa 2' recovered half its budget before release! 


After the blockbuster success of 'Pushpa - The Rise', the audience is eagerly waiting for the sequel of the film. Allu Arjun's most awaited film 'Pushpa 2' is going to hit the screens this year. 'Pushpa 2' will be released in theaters on 6 december this year. But several months before the release, the OTT rights of the film have been sold and 'Pushpa 2' has recovered half of its budget with this deal.

A deal worth crores has been done between the makers of the film and Netflix. If Akashvani is to be believed, Netflix has paid Rs 270 crore to the makers for this most awaited sequel film starring Allu Arjun. The film recovered half its budget

'Pushpa 2' has recovered more than half of its budget by selling OTT rights for Rs 270 crore. In fact, according to many media reports, the budget of the film is around Rs 500 crore.

Became the fourth most expensive film sold on OTT

Allu Arjun's 'Pushpa 2' has become the fourth most expensive indian film to be sold on OTT. Earlier, 'KGF Chapter-2' is at number three, whose rights were bought by Prime Video for Rs 320 crore. The film 'Kalki 2898 AD' is at number two. Prabhas' film was bought by two OTT platforms Netflix (175 crores) and Prime Video (200 crores) together for Rs 375 crore. At the same time, 'RRR' is at number one, whose rights were bought by Netflix, Zee5 and Hotstar for Rs 385 crore.
