Priyadarshan and mohanlal Join Forces for Director’s 100th Film, Tentatively Titled 'Haram'

Celebrated malayalam director priyadarshan is poised to achieve a major career milestone with his 100th film, and he will once again collaborate with renowned actor mohanlal for this landmark project. Priyadarshan has confirmed that mohanlal will star in this significant film, continuing their successful partnership. Although their recent film, Kunjali Marakkar, received mixed reviews and did not meet audience expectations, their earlier collaborations have been widely celebrated.

The new film is rumored to be titled Haram. The speculation was fueled by playback singer MG Sreekumar, who posted a cartoon-style poster on social media, hinting at a reunion with mohanlal and Priyadarshan. In his post, Sreekumar suggested that the film might be released next year, depending on the availability and schedules of all involved. He also expressed hope that fans would support and share the news.

This announcement follows the cancellation of another highly anticipated project in which mohanlal was set to play a boxer. Despite this setback, there is significant excitement surrounding Haram, as fans eagerly anticipate the next chapter in the successful Priyadarshan-Mohanlal partnership, known for classics like Chithram and Kilukkam.

In other news, mohanlal made his first public appearance since resigning as the President of AMMA (Association of malayalam Movie Artists). He attended the launch of the kerala Cricket League, appearing in formal attire. mohanlal did not address the recent surge in sexual harassment allegations within the kerala film industry during this event.

Earlier this week, mohanlal stepped down from his role amid the ongoing metoo movement, which has impacted the malayalam film industry. Alongside him, the 17-member executive committee of AMMA also resigned. In a joint statement, they explained that the committee was disbanded on moral grounds due to allegations against some of its members, and a new committee will be elected within two months.
