Shilpa Shinde claimed in an interview with News18 Showsha that in the early stages of her career, she was asked to woo the filmmaker under the guise of auditions. The revelation comes after several actors shared their experiences of sexual harassment and assault following the public release of the Justice hema Committee report.

Shilpa Shinde spoke in detail about the incident, which took place during her struggling days around 1998-99. She was instructed to wear certain clothes and perform a scene where she had to seduce the filmmaker. Shinde said, 'The man tried to force himself on me and I was terrified. I pushed him and ran outside.'

Shilpa Shinde added, 'The security staff realized what had happened and asked me to leave immediately.' Despite the seriousness of her allegations, Shinde decided not to reveal the filmmaker's identity. Explaining her decision, she said, 'He was from the hindi film industry. I agreed to do the scene because he was also an actor.'

Shilpa said, 'I am not lying, but I cannot take his name. His children are probably a little younger than me, and if I take their names, they will also feel bad. After a few years, I met him again and he spoke to me lovingly. He did not recognize me and even offered me a role in a film. I refused. He still does not remember me.' shilpa admitted, 'These things happen to everyone. We have talked about it as actors, and others have told me that they have faced similar situations, even celebrities.'
