Rakesh roshan was born on 6 september 1949. His journey from actor to director is inspiring. rakesh roshan started his acting career in the 1970s. He worked in many films one after the other including Ghar Ghar Ki Kahani, Paraya Dhan, Aankh Micholi, Khoobsurat, Ek Kunwari Ek Kunwara, Man Mandir, and Khel Khel Mein. When the 80s came, he stepped towards direction and then the magic he showed can never be forgotten by cinema lovers.


1987 was the year when he directed his first film as a director, Khudgarz. Then he started giving hits to bollywood through films like king Uncle, karan Arjun, and Koyla. In the year 2000, Rakesh's career reached new heights with the film 'Kaho Naa Pyar Hai'. His son hrithik roshan made his debut with this film and this was also Amisha Patel's first film.

Rakesh roshan also tried his hand in the science-fiction genre and also inspired directors to make such films. 'Koi... Mil Gaya' released in 2003 introduced the audience to a different kind of cinema, which was a wonderful combination of human emotions and science fiction. In 2006, Rakesh once again introduced superheroes to the indian audience through 'Krrish'. A strong grip on family relationships is seen in his films, which easily connects the audience.
