writer ajay Brahmatmaj has shared a video on his Instagram. He was asked how Sawan Kumar became a lyricist. On this, he said, 'It is a very interesting story that Sawan ji had released many films. 'Gomti Ke Kinare' had also become a film. He had to get a song written for the film 'Hawas', so he went to Majrooh Sultanpuri sahab.'

In the same video, he further said, 'Coincidentally, I was also with him that day. So when Majrooh sahab started writing the lines, Sawan sahab said - no...no...it is not like this, it has to be written like this. Then he wrote...there was a discussion for 10 minutes, then Sawan sahab did not understand. This went on for about three quarters of an hour, Majrooh sahab's mood got so bad that he made a ball type of those 10-15 papers and threw it on Sawan sahab's face and said, go and write this song yourself.'

In the same video, writer Brahmatmaj further said, 'Then Sawan ji got up, came home and at night he wrote the first song 'Teri galiyon mein na rakhenge kadam, aaj ke baad' and gave it to usha ji in the morning and usha ji composed it, Mohammad Rafi sang it. That song was outstanding and a superhit. This was Sawan ji and this was usha ji.'
