Rehnaa Hai Terre dil Mein’s Re-Release Earns Over ₹3 Crore
The 2001 romantic drama Rehnaa Hai Terre dil Mein, starring dia mirza and R. madhavan, has made a notable comeback in theaters with its re-release on august 30. Known for its enduring love story and memorable soundtrack, the film has captured audience interest once again and is reportedly performing well at the box office.
Originally, Rehnaa Hai Terre dil Mein earned approximately ₹5.36 crore during its initial run. According to a report by Pinkvilla, the film has already grossed ₹3.2 crore in just 10 days of its re-release. The re-release is on track to surpass its original box office performance, with a significant portion of the earnings coming from Pune, where it has amassed around ₹75 lakh in 10 days—an impressive figure for a re-release.
Following the film's return to theaters, dia mirza and R. madhavan took to social media to express their gratitude to fans. They also hosted a live instagram session, reflecting on their experiences during the film's production. They shared a clip from the session, with mirza writing, “We just wanted to say a BIG thank you #RHTDM for all the love you have shown us over the last 23 years and the love you are giving the film in theatres right now.” During the session, mirza reminisced about the intense shooting schedule, mentioning the extensive travel across South Africa, New Zealand, Australia, and Mumbai, and the challenges they faced during filming.
On the professional front, R. madhavan was last seen in Shaitaan, alongside ajay devgn, which received positive reviews. He will next appear in Shankara and De De Pyaar De 2, sharing the screen with ajay devgn and rakul Preet Singh. Dia Mirza’s recent project was IC 814 - The Kandahar Hijack, which also featured vijay varma and Pankaj Kapur.
