Even though deepika padukone and ranveer singh were the main characters in this film, Gulshan made his own identity as Bhavani.
Recently, gulshan devaiah talked about working with ranveer singh during the difficult time of his career in a conversation with Lehran Retro. He said that Ranveer's energy was tremendous and despite the praise for 'Lootera', the film did not do well at the box office. Gulshan also said that Ranveer was disappointed with this.
In the conversation, Gulshan said, 'His films were not doing well at that time. Though he received a lot of appreciation for director Vikramaditya Motwane's 'Lootera', it did not do well commercially. I think it started affecting him, whether he wanted it or not. His first film 'Band Baaja Baaraat' did well, but his second film 'Ladies vs Ricky Bahl' was average.'
Gulshan further says, 'Though he was getting that stardom, such films give you unexpected opportunities and you expect people to like it because it is a very beautiful story made by a very good director and people did not like it as much as they wanted.'
During this, Gulshan also praised Ranveer's energy a lot. He said that during 'Ram Leela' he used to get tired seeing his energy. Recently, Gulshan came into the news when he revealed about not being able to get along with janhvi kapoor while working with her in 'Uljh'.
