Pixar announced this on its social media handles along with the film's poster. Inside Out 2 is set to premiere on OTT on september 25. The film will be released on Disney Plus and along with sharing an attractive poster on Instagram, Pixar wrote, 'Control your emotions, as Inside Out 2 is coming to Disney Plus Hotstar on september 25.' The film will be released on OTT in hindi and english language.

Inside Out 2 is the highest-grossing animated film of all time. It became the fastest animated film to reach a billion dollars worldwide and is currently the 8th-highest-grossing film in global box office history. The film had the second-biggest opening weekend of 2024, grossing $155 million domestically and $140 million internationally.

The sequel to the 2015 film Inside Out, directed by Kelsey Mann, continues the story of teenage Riley and her evolving emotions. The film introduces new emotions such as anxiety, embarrassment, jealousy, and sadness. It also depicts her early emotions such as happiness, sadness, anger, fear, and disgust. The story is based on Riley's high school life, where she makes new friends while attending an ice skating camp.

The film's screenplay was written by LeFauve and Dave Holstein. Discussing the making of the sequel, Dave Holstein said, 'The first film gave everyone a visual language to talk about their feelings. I thought if I could do that for teenagers, which was probably the most difficult time of my life, and if I could make that time a little better I'd be happy.
