Kareena Kapoor Discusses Regulating Screen Time for Taimur and Jeh

Kareena Kapoor, celebrating 25 years in Bollywood, recently premiered her latest film, The Buckingham Murders. PVR Cinemas is hosting a film festival in her honor, where she shared insights about her career and films.

Kareena expressed her long-held desire to portray a detective, stating, “I’ve always wanted to play a detective, and now I have done that. I look at characters I would enjoy playing because you spend so many days embodying that role.” She emphasized the importance of enjoying the character to make the long hours worthwhile.

When asked about her son Taimur’s movie-watching habits, Kareena smiled as she recalled how much he enjoyed Bhool Bhulaiyaa with his father, Saif ali Khan. She mentioned that she might encourage her kids to watch something from the festival.

On the topic of screen time for her sons Taimur and Jeh, Kareena revealed she strictly regulates it. “Monday to Friday, it’s a definite no,” she said, noting the challenges of setting a good example. “They see us on our phones or screens, so we try to read or engage in other activities until bedtime,” she explained, emphasizing the importance of leading by example.

Currently, Kareena's The Buckingham Murders is receiving positive feedback, earning ₹8.82 crore in its initial run, which is impressive for a mystery thriller.
