Shah Rukh Khan Explains the Meaning Behind His Youngest Son's Name, Abram

Shah Rukh Khan, one of Bollywood's most beloved actors, recently shared insights into why he chose the name Abram for his youngest son. In a past interview on Rajat Sharma’s Aap Ki Adalat, he explained that the name is rooted in a blend of cultural and religious significance. He noted that Hazrat Ibrahim is known as Abraham in the bible and Abram in Judaism.

Khan emphasized the importance of secularism in his family, stating, “Since my wife Gauri is Hindu and I am Muslim, we wanted our kids to feel a sense of secularism at home.” He acknowledged that the name choice sparked some controversy, but he believes in fostering an environment of inclusivity reflective of the broader values in India.

On the professional front, Shah Rukh Khan is currently working on his upcoming film king, which is set to feature his daughter Suhana Khan and actor Abhay Verma. At the Locarno Film Festival, he described king as an action drama that he’s been eager to create for years, emphasizing its emotional depth and mass appeal.

He also expressed his aspiration for indian cinema, hoping to see a film reach audiences on par with big hollywood productions, regardless of his personal involvement. Khan humorously noted that he’s preparing physically for action scenes in king, aiming to ensure he’s fit for the demands of the role.

Khan was last seen in Dunki, alongside Taapsee Pannu, and continues to be a significant presence in the film industry.
