Rishab Shetty Chooses sai pallavi and samantha Ruth Prabhu Over rashmika Mandanna

Rashmika Mandanna, a well-known figure in the film industry, made her debut in 2016 with the kannada rom-com kirik party, directed by Rishab Shetty, who also starred in Kantara. However, their relationship reportedly soured when rashmika faced backlash for admitting she hadn't watched Kantara.

Recently, an interview with Rishab Shetty resurfaced, generating buzz after he chose sai pallavi and samantha Ruth Prabhu over rashmika mandanna when asked about his preferred co-stars. In an interview with Gulte, Rishab stated, “I decide my actors once I finish my script. I prefer working with newcomers as they come with no barriers. These actors on your list, I don’t like them. But I like the work of sai pallavi and Samantha. They are true artists and some of the best performers we have.”

The tension between rashmika and Rishab became evident after she initially claimed she hadn't seen Kantara, but later attended an event to confirm that she had watched the film and congratulated the team. Rishab, however, seemed unfazed, commenting to Mashable India, “You don’t mind. We’ve launched many artists, and many directors and producers have given us opportunities. Let’s say no more.”

This wasn’t the first indication of friction between the two. During an interview, rashmika spoke about her early days in the industry but notably avoided mentioning anyone from the kirik party project, even using air quotes when referring to the production company. Fans quickly identified her subtle reference to Paramvah Studios, founded by rakshit shetty, a close friend of Rishab, leading to accusations of her being ‘ungrateful’.
