Kiran Rao's dream comes true

Speaking to PTI last week, kiran rao said, "If it had gone (to the Oscars), my dream would have come true. But this is a process, and I hope it (Missing Ladies) will be considered. I am sure the best film will go, no matter who they choose in the scheme of things."

Missing Ladies takes the audience back to rural india in 2001. Its story revolves around two brides who get swapped during a train journey. A journey full of ups and downs begins when their husbands start looking for the real bride.
