A legal battle has broken out between the producers and director of the film 'Bade Miyan Aur Chote Miyan'. Vasu Bhagnani and Jackie Bhagnani, owners of Bade Miyan Chote Miyan's production house pooja Entertainment, have filed an FIR against the film's director Ali Abbas Zafar. Earlier, Ali abbas had filed a case against the producers.
Bade Miyan Chote Miyan director Ali abbas Zafar had accused the owners of pooja Entertainment of not paying. Ali abbas alleged that he was to be paid Rs 7.30 crore as a fee for film direction. But the producers did not pay his amount. According to Dainik Bhaskar, Ali abbas Zafar had filed a complaint with the Directors Association and appealed to them to intervene in this matter.
FWICE sought clarification from the production house
After Ali abbas Zafar's complaint, the Federation of Western indian Cine Employees wrote a letter to Vasu Bhagnani and sought clarification from him. However, pooja Entertainment rejected ali Abbas's allegations. The production house issued a statement saying - 'As told to us by BMCM Films Limited, the dues claimed are not a correct claim and are liable for separate set-off.'
Producers accused Ali abbas Zafar of money laundering.
After this, Vasu Bhagnani and Jackie Bhagnani filed a case of money laundering against Ali abbas Zafar. The producers have accused Ali abbas Zafar of embezzling the subsidy amount taken from Abu Dhabi officials during the shooting of Bade Miyan Chote Miyan. The FIR lodged on september 3 claims that Ali abbas Zafar has been accused of fraud of Rs 9.50 crore.
