kiran Rao's 'Laapata Ladies' has been selected as India's official entry for oscar 2025. The film is eyeing a nomination in the Best Foreign Film category. The film stars Pratibha Ranta, Nitanshi Goyal, Sparsh Srivastava, Chhaya Kadam and ravi Kishan in pivotal roles. Mr. Perfectionist also wanted a role in this film produced by Aamir Khan. He also auditioned for the role of ravi Kishan but was rejected.

Aamir had said, "I will change my appearance," to which kiran replied, "So what is the benefit."
