Bollywood actress janhvi kapoor opened up about her South indian roots in the trailer of The Great indian Kapil Show. In the video, the actress revealed her father, producer Boney Kapoor embraced the South indian culture when he fell in love with Sridevi. For the unversed, sridevi grew up in Chennai. While her father was reportedly a Tamilian, her mother spoke Telugu.

Meanwhile Janhvi and her sister, Khushi Kapoor have embraced her mother’s roots as well. In the promo of the Netflix comedy show, Janhvi said that her punjabi rooted father ‘converted’ after he fell in love with sridevi and started having idlis for breakfast instead of parathas. She added that her mother also embraced his family’s ‘North Indian’ traits and reached to a point that she would fight like a North Indian.

Meanwhile, Janhvi will be seen in the new episode of The Great indian Kapil Show with jr ntr and saif ali khan to promote their upcoming film, Devara: Part 1. The film is set to release this weekend, on september 27. Devara marks Jr NTR’s 30th film. The film is the actor’s first solo film after six years and his first release after RRR. Devara Part 1 is an epic action saga set in coastal regions, featuring a series of thrilling and emotionally intense events within a historical timeline. The story centers around the lead character who emerges as a protector of the oppressed and a terror to wrongdoers. With this film, janhvi kapoor and saif ali khan are set to make their telugu film debut.
