This tamil music composer usually organises his concerts outside India, capital and major cities only. For a change, Ilaiyaraaja decided to hold the program in the small town of tamil Nadu for the first time on september 14.The concert, which was held at a private college, was interrupted by rain before it started. As the s how started late, the fans enjoyed Ilaiyaraaja’s music concert in the rain. The videos of the concert went viral on social media. Fans said that watching Ilaiyaraaja’s concert in the pouring rain was a pleasant moment for them.

The music composer announced his music tour on his official account on the social media platform X. “People of kumbakonam who came to enjoy my concert in heavy rain, your support is unforgettable. Thank you! From now on my musical journey will be held not only in the capital but in all the towns of tamil Nadu” wrote Ilaiyaraaja. Ilaiyaraaja holds the record for the first indian composer to record a soundtrack with a computer for the 1986 Kamal Haasan-starrer, Vikram. He also composed Thiruvasagam in Symphony (2006), the first indian oratorio.
