Reportedly the producers of kangana Ranaut’s film, ‘Emergency’, have agreed to make the changes suggested by the Revising Committee. The makers had approached the bombay high court with regard to the certification of the film. In a hearing on Monday, Production company Zee Studio’s lawyer told bombay HC that they have agreed to the suggested changes by the Revising Committee. They have submitted a format for the implementation of the changes suggested by the CBFC. CBFC will respond to this format and the next hearing on the matter is kept on Thursday, october 3. Emergency was originally set to release last month. However, it has been delayed due to non-certification.

Previously kangana expressed her disappointment over the delayed release. She took to X and deemed CBFC’s decision to withhold Emergency certificate ‘illegal’. She also reacted to bombay High Court’s order on the delay in clearance of her upcoming film Emergency by the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC). She shared a post by Live Law and wrote, “High court has blasted censor for illegally withholding the certificate of emergency.”

Furthermore in the trailer released in August, viewers learnt that Emergency will focus on the Emergency period in the 1980s in India. kangana, who is starring and directing the film, will be seen playing the role of Indira Gandhi. The film also stars anupam kher, Milind Soman, mahima Chaudhry and shreyas talpade among others. While shreyas talpade will be seen playing the role of Atal Bihari Vajpayee, anupam kher will be seen as Jayaprakash Narayan.
