Filmmaker vivek Agnihotri on thursday announced the release date of his much-awaited film 'The delhi Files'. The director shared the information on his official social media handle and revealed that the film is set for a massive release on Independence Day next year.

Vivek Agnihotri is best known for directing 'The kashmir Files and 'The Vaccine War'. Vivek posted a note announcing the release date of the film. He wrote, 'Mark your calendars - august 15, 2025. After many years of intensive research, the story of 'The delhi Files' is too powerful to be summed up in one part. We are excited to bring you 'The bengal Chapter' - the first of two parts, which unveils an important chapter of our history. Please bless us and mark your calendars - august 15, 2025.

He also informed fans that the film, which was originally made as one story, has been split into two parts. The director has titled the first part of the film 'The bengal Chapter'. The film's poster, which was released on october 3, shows an image of a child raising his hand toward the national emblem seen in the background.

Delhi Files also stars Agnihotri's wife Pallavi Joshi, who is also the co-producer of the film. Other cast members include mithun Chakraborty, Anupam Kher, Puneet Issar, Govind Namdev, Babbu Maan, and Palomi Ghosh. vivek Agnihotri had recently commented on Mithun's win at the Dada Saheb Phalke. He said, "Mithun da is one of the finest actors of India, not only because of his acting but also because of his understanding of cinema. I was not fortunate enough to work with him in his younger days when he was ruling the single screen. He was the biggest star of the single-screen box office." This is vivek Agnihotri's third film in the research-based film series, which he is making on real-life events that shook the country in the past. Earlier, he made films like 'The kashmir Files and 'The Vaccine War', which were loved by the audience.
