Now, his grandson, Vardhaan puri, is gaining attention. Vardhaan puri began performing in theater at the young age of five, showcasing his talent on stage from an early age.

He also worked as an assistant director at the prestigious yash Raj Films. Vardhaan made his debut as a hero in the romantic thriller Yeh Saali Aashiqui (2019), a film for which he also co-wrote the story. The movie became a big hit on OTT platforms. Following this, he appeared in the horror film Aseq and the political drama Dashmi.

Vardhaan currently has several projects lined up. One of them is Bloody Ishq, directed by vikram bhatt and Mahesh Bhatt. He is also starring in bobby Aur Rishi Ki love Story, directed by kunal kohli and produced by jio Studios. Another of his upcoming films, Gulab, is being directed by Sanjay Nag and produced by Endemol. Additionally, Vardhaan is working on a film directed by shekhar kapur, titled Next to God.

Vardhaan Puri's upcoming film Next to god has gained significant attention. The movie holds special importance because 37 years ago, shekhar kapur directed Mr. India, which starred Vardhan's grandfather, amrish puri, as the iconic villain Mogambo. That character became legendary. Vardhaan has expressed pride in working with Shekhar Kapur.

Next to god is a medical thriller inspired by real events, focusing on violence against doctors and the need for safety regulations in the medical field. Vardhaan stars alongside Manisha Koirala, with shekhar kapur as the creative director. The film is set to begin shooting soon.

Vardhaan shared that the film sheds light on the real abuse indian doctors face and emphasizes the urgent need for better safety in the medical community. He is grateful to have shekhar kapur mentoring him on the project, but he doesn’t feel pressured by their collaboration. “I don’t take pressure because it affects my creativity. I’m completely captivated by the film’s story and characters,” he says.

As for his tollywood entry, fans are eager to see if Vardhaan will make his debut in telugu films soon.
