There was a lot of uproar over the lyrics of the song 'Choli Ke Peeche Kya Hai' from 'Khalnayak'. But very few people know that director subhash ghai had paid close attention to the perfection of this song along with every scene of this film. Apart from madhuri Dixit, actress neena gupta is also in the song.
neena gupta was not ready for the role at first
neena gupta has told in her autobiography 'Sach Kahun To' that when subhash ghai called her to cast her in the film 'Khalnayak', she was not ready for that role. But when she heard the song 'Choli ke peeche kya hai' for the first time, she found it very catchy. This song was sung by her friend Ila Arun. But she did not like that role, that is why she did not want to sign the film. However, subhash ghai somehow convinced her.
The director had talked about 'filling the choli'
The day the song 'Choli ke peeche kya hai' was to be shot, Neena reached the set. Here the costume department made her wear a tribal Gujarati dress. When Neena went in front of subhash ghai wearing that dress, subhash ghai started shouting after seeing her. He said- 'No, no, no, fill something.' Neena felt very embarrassed after hearing these words of the director. Because he was talking about her 'filling the choli'.
