Yuvan Shankar raja first made his debut as a music director in the 1997 film 'Aravindan' starring actor Sarathkumar. After that, in the year 1999, he became popular among the people by composing music in films like Poovellam, and Unekakka Elma Unekakka. Although the films composed by him did not run, his songs were popular among the people. It must be said that it was Ajith's 'Deena' who gave a hand to Yuvan shankar Raja.

And that, I didn't get any film opportunities for three or four years after Poovellam Ketepbar. Even if the album is good. The film did not run smoothly. It was then that I got an opportunity for 'Deena' which Ajith sir told me. Along with Deena came Thulluvatho Ohola. He said that my journey started from there. It was in 'Deena' that Yuvan shankar Raja started composing music for Ajithkumar's film.
