However, the filmmaker took to instagram to set the record straight, addressing the rumors directly. In his latest post, karan shared that his transformation is the result of a healthier lifestyle, not the controversial drug.

The screenshot highlighted a comment from an X user stating, “Maheep rightly called out people for using Ozempic for fast weight loss and driving it out of stock for people with diabetes. Hope she calls out karan Johar too, the producer of Fabulous Lives Vs bollywood Wives.”  

The comment referenced Maheep Kapoor’s remarks from the Netflix series ‘Fabulous Lives Vs Bollywood Wives’, where she criticized individuals for using Ozempic, causing shortages for diabetic patients who genuinely need the drug. 

How karan johar responded to Ozempic rumours

Responding to the speculation, karan johar humorously shut down the claims, writing, “Being healthy and eating well and reinventing the wheel of your nutrition! Aur Ozempic ko Mile credit ???” He also tagged Maheep Kapoor and cheekily asked, “Did you mean me???” 

In response, Maheep Kapoor reposted Karan's story on her instagram, adding laughing and face-palming emojis. Karan followed up by resharing her post with the caption, “You're laughing? I'm offended.”
