Recently, mumbai police questioned ekta kapoor and her mother Shobha Kapoor in a POCSO case. The police had called both of them for questioning on october 24. This matter is related to season 6 of the web series 'Gandi Baat' on the OTT platform 'Alt Balaji'. A case was registered against her for the alleged obscene portrayal of minor girls in three web series streamed on the Alt balaji app. Now amid this matter, ekta kapoor has left mumbai with her father, whose video is going viral.


In a statement released on instagram after all the allegations, the company said, "The web series is fully compliant with all applicable laws. Any reference to the engagement of minors by the company is completely false." It further reads, "It is clarified that Shobha Kapoor and ekta kapoor are not involved in the day-to-day operations of the company. These are managed by different teams, including the content strategy team. Since the matter is in court, the company refrains from making any comment."



The series was aired in 2021 when ekta was the managing director and Shobha was the chairperson of Alt balaji Telefilms. After the official statement was issued by ekta kapoor, she was spotted at mumbai airport with her father. It is reported that ekta is going out of mumbai with her father for a few days.


It is known that a resid. Ent of Borivali had filed a complaint against Alt Balaji's ex-producer ekta and her mother Shobha in the MHB police station. In this complaint, it was said that the rules of the POCSO Act have been violated in an episode of the series, and some scenes were shown which were obscene.
