Shahrukh Khan's film Main Hoon Na proved to be a superhit. Everything from his look to action in this film was liked. Main Hoon Na was directed by Farah Khan. In this film released in the year 2004, zayed khan, sunil Shetty, sushmita sen and amrita rao were seen playing important roles along with Shahrukh Khan. Now years later, zayed khan has told how he got the role in this film.
In an interview given to YouTube channel Couple of Things, zayed khan told how he got this role. Not only this, before his casting, shahrukh khan had also asked him a question after which he felt very bad.

In the interview, zayed khan told that farah khan had called him and asked him to meet in Shahrukh Khan's office. Zayed said- 'Farah looked at me and I said Farah I don't know why I am here but she said calm down for two minutes. I found her very rude. I was trying to talk. By then shahrukh khan came there. He is shahrukh khan, very sweet, very lovely. Zayed said I was just listening to him but I was not able to understand. Then he told me- We have called you for the second lead in Main Hoon Na. I could not say anything. He said- Let's stop all this nonsense. I want to ask you just one question- are you an actor? Can you act? I felt very bad that someone talked to me like this.'
Zayed gave this answer
Zayed answered Shahrukh Khan's question- 'I was born to act. I was not trying to be arrogant or anything. I was feeling very bad that he asked me if you can act? I wanted to ask him if you can act? When I answered, he avoided the question.'
