Recently, director rohit shetty revealed his favorite character from his iconic cop universe and it's none other than Ranveer Singh's Simmba. He also revealed that when he finally saw the final cut, he knew Simmba was going to be a blockbuster, adding that it was clear that the film would take things to another level.
According to media reports, during an interview, rohit shetty shared his thoughts on Simmba and said "I think Simmba is the cutest." When told that Simmba is a cracker he replied, "Not that it was a surprise for us. When we saw the final edit also it was like, when the second part of Simmba comes the film will go on a different level. It was then reported that ranveer singh has all the best dialogues in Simmba, to which rohit shetty laughingly said, "That's my little favorite too."
During a recent interview, rohit shetty answered fans' questions which included one about Simmba. When someone asked Rohit if a sequel or Simmba's appearance in the Golmaal universe was on the cards. Laughing, the director joked, "It will be too much. Take pity on me. This universe is coming here, that universe is going there. Simmba will be there, obviously because it is one of the most loved characters in the cop universe." He further added, "But as I said, we will first focus on comedy and then come back to this, because making cop films continuously after Simmba in 2018 might be too much for the audience."
Directed by rohit shetty, Simmba stars ranveer singh as Sangram Bhalerao, a police officer who transforms after a life-changing incident. sara ali khan was seen opposite Ranveer in the film.
