Bollywood diva deepika Padukone’s kalki 2898 AD broke records at the box office upon its release. The nag ashwin directorial crossed the Rs 1000 crore mark at the box office. After the success of the film, the makers are currently working on the sequel. A recent report has revealed that the makers have decided to wait for the actor to return from her maternity leave so that they can begin filming for her parts in the second movie of the franchise.
Hence according to a report, deepika padukone is currently on maternity leave. The report suggested that the actor is devoting her entire time to her daughter, Dua. She has decided to be a hands-on mother as she wants to take care of every responsibility of her daughter. It added how the actor has decided to not opt for a nanny and split up the responsibilities of Dua with her husband, Ranveer Singh. The report quoted a source who said, “Impatient elements are knocking hard on her door. But deepika won’t be returning to the camera anytime in the near future. deepika is an unconditionally hands-on mother. She won’t leave her baby with a nanny for even a minute. She and Ranveer will share all parenting responsibilities."
Moreover the report mentioned how the makers of kalki 2898 AD have started shooting. The actor gave them the option of cutting her out from the sequel, but the makers decided to wait for her to return from her maternity leave. The sequel of kalki 2898 AD will star Prabhas, amitabh bachchan, and kamal haasan in key roles. Padukone and Singh welcomed their first child in september 2024. They named her Dua. On the work front, the actor was last seen in Singham Again. She was also seen in fighter earlier this year where she shared the screen with Hrithik Roshan.
