Lady superstar Nayanthara, who is gearing up for the release of her Netflix documentary ‘Nayanthara: Beyond The Fairytale’, recently shared an open letter on instagram, blasting actor cum director dhanush for refusing an NOC to use elements from their 2015 film ‘Naanum Rowdy Dhaan’. She wrote that dhanush has demanded Rs 10 crore as damages for using ‘three seconds’ of behind the scenes video from Dhanush’s film in the Netflix documentary trailer. Now, Nayanthara’s husband vignesh shivan, who is the director of Naanum Rowdy Dhaan, has come out in support of the Lady Superstar. He shared the controversial BTS clip on his instagram story, mocking Dhanush’s legal notice.
Meanwhile vignesh shivan took to his instagram story to share the behind-the-scenes video clip from the film Naanum Rowdy Dhaan. Along with it, he wrote, “The 10 crores clip that wants to be taken down from our Netflix Documentary. Pls watch it here for free. #SpreadLove sir." He also shared the notice sent by Dhanush’s team after the video clip appeared in the trailer of the documentary. He highlighted the mention of ‘Rs 10 crores’ in the legal notice.
Moreover Nayanthara and Vignesh Shivan’s love story blossomed on the sets of Naanum Rowdy Dhaan. The film was written and directed by vignesh shivan and produced under Dhanush’s banner Wunderbar. In her letter, Nayanthara rote, “We were startled to read those lines wherein you questioned the usage of some videos (just 3 seconds) which were shot in our personal devices and that too BTS visuals that are already very much publicly present on social media and claimed a sum of Rs. 10 crores as damages for the mere 3 seconds. This is an all time low from you and speaks so much about your character."
