Aamir further said, "I knew that salman and Punit are very close. I called salman on monday and said that I wanted the dangal title. Can you arrange a meeting between Punit and me? salman called Punit and told him that Aamir wanted this title. This was at the time when salman was making his film "Sultan". People used to say that there was a race going on between the two of us because both films were based on wrestling. But there was nothing like that. salman helped us. salman has a big hand in getting the title of Dangal.
He further said, that after Salman's call, Punit and I met. Punit was very sweet. He said, 'I am not using this title, you can take it. And that's how we got the title of Dangal.
