Maharaja China: Vijay's 'Maharaja' earned crores in china, beat Drishyam-Kaabil in the first weekend


South film 'Maharaja', which made a blast on OTT after its release in theaters in 2024, is now earning a lot in china and is constantly setting new records. Crime thriller 'Maharaja' has earned crores in two days at the Chinese box office.


Vijay Sethupathi's action thriller Maharaja has become the 15th highest-grossing indian film at the Chinese box office. The film has crossed the mark of 3 million dollars i.e. 25 crores 41 lakh rupees in the first weekend. The film has been released on about 40 thousand screens in China.

After Vijay's film earned $2.30 million or 19.50 crores in the first 2 days, Maharaja earned around 900K (7.50 crores gross) on Sunday, taking the total collection in the opening weekend to around $3.2 million (27 crores).


With $3.2 million, Maharaja has become the 15th highest-grossing indian film in china (in terms of dollars) while in indian currency, it has become the 13th biggest film, beating Drishyam (27 crores gross), Kaabil (23.50 crores gross) and 102 Not Out (22.50 crores gross).

Directed by Nithilan Saminathan, Maharaja's next target is Aamir Khan's Thugs of Hindostan, which earned around 60 crores in China. If the film manages to earn well during this week, the film can reach close to that target, which will add another dimension to the success of the film. The total worldwide collection of Maharaja is around 133 crores gross so far and is moving towards the 150 crores mark. This film is one of the biggest tamil blockbusters of the year. It has proved to be the biggest hit of vijay sethupathi and director Nithilan.


With the figures of china, the worldwide earnings of 'Maharaja' have now reached around 126 crores. It is believed that the film will touch the figure of 150 crores. The film 'Maharaja' is directed by Nithilan Swaminathan. The film was also well-liked in India.
