The producer deactivated his ex account after attending The Galata Plus Mega Pan india Directors Round Table 2024. The event had a discussion about directors' pan indian films. Reportedly, Vignesh's presence at the round table was questioned as his latest film, Kaathuvaakula Rendu Kadhal, was not a pan india project.
Meanwhile Vignesh has not issued any official statement regarding this. However, people were upset with his presence in the high-table discussion. people also noted that his upcoming film, love Insurance Company, also does not fall in the Pan indian film category. Due to which netizens have questioned the guest list for the round table. Perhaps the filmmaker has not deactivated or deleted his instagram account and he is still present there. It is worth noting that these days the filmmaker has faced criticism amid his wife Nayanthara's legal battle with dhanush, on november 16, 2024, the actress wrote a letter to the tamil star and criticized him for refusing to give NOC to use the content of his 2015 film, Naanum Rowdy Dhan. The clip was to be used in the actress' documentary titled Nayanthara: Beyond the Fairy Tale.
Moreover Nayanthara further told in her post that during the making of her documentary Nayanthara: Beyond the Fairy Tale, she had sought permission from Dhanush. However, the actor refused to give permission. He was sent a legal notice, where dhanush demanded Rs 10 crore for copyright issue. Later dhanush also filed a civil suit in the madras high court against Vignesh and Netflix for using unauthorized scenes from Naanum Rowdy Dhaan.
