Girls Will Be Girls is an Indo-French coming-of-age drama film produced by B-town couple Richa Chadha and ali Fazal. The film will be released on OTT. Written and directed by Shuchi Talati, it revolves around the story of a boarding school in a small Himalayan town in North India. The film stars Kani Kusruti in the lead role along with Preeti Panigrahi and Keshav Binoy Kiran. It will be released on Prime Video on december 18.
With this film, Richa and ali have made their debut as producers with Pushing Button Studios. Talking about the india release of their film during a conversation with ANI, Richa said, "This is our first film (as producers) and it has already received a lot of awards. It won awards at the Sundance Film Festival, it was screened at Busan and TIFF. Apart from this, we won four awards at the mumbai Film Festival. Now we are bringing this indian film to the indian audience."
Sharing his experience as a producer, ali said, "I believe every actor should become a producer at least once. Even the little things matter. As producers, we have tried to take care of them." Apart from this, Richa and ali have also shared a special video on Instagram, in which they were seen talking about the film Girls Will Be Girls. Richa wrote, 'We are launching our baby, yes ... Girls Will Be Girls is releasing on Prime Video on december 18.'
Talking about work, Richa was last seen in the web series Hiramandi: The Diamond Bazaar. The series directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali also featured Manisha Koirala, Sonakshi Sinha, Aditi Rao Hydari, Fardeen Khan, Shekhar Suman, and others in lead roles. On the other hand, ali will next be seen in director Anurag Basu's upcoming drama film Metro... In Dino, which also stars Aditya Roy Kapur, sara ali Khan, Fatima sana Shaikh, Anupam Kher, Pankaj Tripathi, and neena gupta in lead roles.
