Accordingly Bollywood’s famous Kapoor family had a special meet-and-greet session with prime minister Narendra Modi. The event occurred after he was invited to the celebration of iconic actor raj Kapoor’s 100th birth anniversary. The Kapoor family will be honouring raj Kapoor’s legacy by sponsoring a film festival. To make the day even more special, armaan jain and ranbir kapoor presented the honourable PM with the late actor’s memorabilia. The gift was one of the last things that belonged to raj kapoor and was carefully preserved by Armaan.

Meanwhile armaan jain shared a few glimpses from the memorable occasion, while one of the snaps shows Armaan and Ranbir presenting the precious gifts. Another picture shows several members of the Kapoor family standing with the Prime Minister. Sharing about how emotionally attached the family is with these mementos, Armaan wrote, “During our meeting, I had the privilege of presenting a cherished piece of memorabilia, one of the very few that remain with the Kapoor family. raj Kapoor’s films and his vision were not just for our family, but for the entire nation. I felt deeply humbled to share a small part of that legacy with our respected Prime Minister.

Moreover, he also praised the prime minister for his unwavering commitment to our country. He mentioned how this leadership continues to motivate millions. He concluded “The memory of this meeting is overwhelming and will stay with me always, with utmost gratitude and reverence". The session was also attended by alia bhatt, Neetu Kapoor, Saif ali Khan, kareena kapoor Khan, Karisma Kapoor, Riddhima Kapoor, among others.

Meanwhile, in honour of raj Kapoor’s centenary, rk Films, in cooperation with the Film heritage Foundation and NFDC-National Film Archive of India, has organised a series of special screenings of his classic films. The screenings, titled raj kapoor 100 Celebrating the Centenary of the Greatest Showman, will take place from december 13 to december 15, in PVR-Inox and Cinepolis theatres in 40 cities across India.
