According to a report by The indian Express, at the time of filing the FIR, Akshansh Yadav, Deputy police Commissioner of Central Zone of hyderabad police, had said, "A case has been registered at Chikkadpally police station under BNS Section 105 (punishment for culpable homicide not amounting to murder) and 118 (1) r/w 3(5) (voluntarily causing hurt or grievous hurt) based on the complaint of the family members of the deceased. It is being investigated. Strict action will be taken as per law against all the persons responsible for the chaotic situation inside the theatre, in which one person died and others were injured.
