Kerala Film Producers Association said in a statement that out of 199 malayalam films, only 26 films have been successful. The total production cost was 1000 crores and the return was only 300 crores. The makers believe that the reason for not being able to recover about 700 crores is the increase in production cost, especially the increase in the salary of the actors.
