According to media reports, during an interview, shahrukh khan said, "If cold drinks are harmful to people, then their production should be stopped completely. If you think it is bad for children, then stop it immediately.'' On smoking, Shah Rukh Khan said, "I will appeal to any authority like this. Stop it. Do not let it be sold in our country. Smoking is bad - do not let cigarettes be produced in this country. If you think cold drinks are bad, then do not let them be made. If it is poisoning our people, then do not let it be made in India.
Looking at the big health issues caused by smoking, Shah Rukh said, "The whole big issue is that today smoking, tomorrow what? And where does it go next? I believe that the indian public is educated enough to know how wrong smoking is. Now it is not like you start smoking because an actor smokes. I think people in power should pay attention to bigger health issues than smoking in films."
