'Amaran' director Rajkumar Periasamy has decided to work with bhushan kumar of T-Series for his new pan-India film, the information of which he shared in the post.
T-Series Chairman and Managing director bhushan kumar has announced a collaboration with famous tamil filmmaker Rajkumar Periasamy for the much-awaited pan-India film. Excited with the success of his blockbuster film Amaran, director Rajkumar Periasamy also shared his happiness about working with T-Series producer Bhushan Kumar for a new project.
T-Series announced the news by sharing a picture of the two on its social media handle. Sharing it, Rajkumar wrote, 'A story I always wanted to tell and a collaboration that makes it even more special. I need all your prayers and blessings.'
They are set to begin production in late 2025. The project is an exciting start for both the filmmaker and the production company, who are looking to attract audiences across india with their unique story. Other details related to the project are yet to be revealed. Meanwhile, Rajkummar is currently directing tamil superstar Dhanush's upcoming film, tentatively titled D55. The film is produced by sushmitha Anbuchezhian under the banner of Gopuram Films.
Rajkummar made his debut with 2017's Rangoon. His second film 'Amaran' starred Sivakarthikeyan and sai pallavi in the lead roles. It told the life story of the late indian hero Major mukunda Varadarajan, a decorated soldier who led the indian Army's 44 Rashtriya Rifles Cheetah Company. Major Mukunda was martyred fighting terrorists in Shopian, Kashmir in April 2014. He was posthumously awarded the Ashoka Chakra, the country's highest peacetime gallantry award. Produced by Raaj Kamal Films international in association with sony Pictures Films india, Amaran was released in theatres on october 31, grossing a massive Rs 42.3 crore at the worldwide box office on its opening day.
