The 10th Ajanta-Ellora international Film festival (AIFF) is scheduled to take place from january 15 to 19, 2025, at PVR INOX, Prozone Mall, Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar. This year's festival promises to be an exciting celebration of unique films from around the world, with 65 films from across the globe set to be screened. The festival is organized by the Marathwada Art, Culture, and Film Foundation and presented by Nath Group, mahatma gandhi Mission, and Yashwantrao Chavan Centre. AIFF is endorsed by the international Federation of Film Critics (FIPRESCI) and the Federation of Film Societies of india (FFSI).
The indian cinema Competition category will feature nine films in various indian languages, with a panel of five national-level jury members evaluating the films alongside audiences. The Best indian Film will be awarded the Golden Kailas Award and a cash prize of ₹1 lakh.
The festival will also feature masterclasses and panel discussions with renowned filmmakers and industry experts, including Tigmanshu Dhulia, Ashutosh Gowariker, and Farah Khan. Additionally, there will be a special screening of the iconic silent film "Kaliya Mardan" directed by Dadasaheb Phalke, accompanied by live music.
The festival aims to present world-class films to cinema enthusiasts, provide a platform for filmmakers and young cinema enthusiasts, and promote tourism in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar. Film lovers can register online or in-person to participate in the festival.
